Even though plans did not work out to bring J&D to Pittsburgh for Pride, people in the are community will get to hear about them and their music.
There have been several opportunities for me to be a part of during our week long Pride celebration. These opportunities include:
- Preaching at my church on More Light Sunday, June 7 where I shared a portion of Jason's "Reconciled" and had a Pride audio/visual presentation where I used J&D's "Be the Light" song as well as a few pictures of them. (I had some people afterwards ask about the song :o)
- Wednesday, June 10, I am a part of an Arts and Lectures event at out WYEP studios. The topic is Faith and Sexuality. I plan on reading Jasons' "Reconciled" in its entirety that evening. (Thank you Jason for allowing this to be read)
- Sunday, June 14 is Pride here in Pittsburgh. I am organizing an Interfaith Pride Service for that morning. I will be sharing a portion of the "Reconciled' again and share one of J&'s songs in the worship time.
I am so excited to be able to have these opportunities to share how God is using J&D to reach those who need to find their wau back home and their place of equality.
